Enjoy It Now (or Simple Pleasures 3)

Do you ever deprive yourself of pleasure just because conditions are not 'perfect'?  I've realised that I do:

Last August I bought a lovely garden ornament.  I put it away in the shed because in my mind I have a plan of exactly where it's going to go in the garden.  This will involve a raised bed, a water feature, a garden mirror and some landscaping - all of which will require a lot of time and a bit of money!

Last weekend, whilst getting my fork out to do some weeding, I saw my lovely little garden ornament looking very sad, scattered about in its component parts in the shed.  I decided I wanted to see it out in the open.  I fell in love with it when I bought it and then stuck it in the shed waiting for the perfect time and the perfect setting to get it out. What a waste!

So here it is.  I've just assembled it where I pulled up the remains of last years tomato plants from.  Isn't it pretty?  It's been dark when I've got home from work most days since last weekend, but yesterday I was home in daylight and it gave me great joy to look down the garden and see it there.

This is not its final resting place, but it's in a place here I can enjoy it.  Why wait?

It's been very windy the last few days but this has stood as solid as a rock.  I'm SO pleased I decided to get it out.
